So the next time you tuck in to food from another country, appreciate the diplomatic work that had gone on behind the scenes to bring this to you. Please move on to your next clue.

Answer A3

And the Answer is Dempsey tree opp Korean BBQ (highlight to reveal)

This is probably the easiest of all the clues. I wanted to post a clue of famous faces of Church history, but decided that it is probably too hard. But to future game designers, you could post a collage of famous faces in your church, that could be really fun.

Just typing the wrong names into google and you will get the right name suggested. Most of these names are linked to the Protestant Reformation, so happy reading if you have the time.

Tynale, Bullingr, Yconius, Oecolamadius, Socinu, Luthr, Henr, Melanchhon, Fael, Cranmr, Bucr, Knx, Augustine of Hio

Clue A3 (Codeword: Rustled)

This is the Social Hall of the church, a place where church members can come together to fellowship. However, history was marked by many instances of people not living or working well together. World Wars I and II were the most vivid examples of disharmony and conflict. Today, the ten of us have been forced to leave our sanctuary in another instance of persecution. It’s up to you to stop this senseless conflict. Find us, and end this once and for all. To help you, here’s the next clue.

Let’s gather up the Reformers: Tynale, Bullingr, Yconius, Oecolamadius, Socinu, Luthr, Henr, Melanchhon Fael, Cranmr, Bucr, Knx, Augustine of Hio, Korean BBQ

Answer A2

And the solution is Social Hall Covenant (highlight to reveal)

If you google some of the names like Tilly, Richelieu, Christian and most importantly Wallenstein, you will notice that in this leg of the race with a historical theme, we are talking about the 30 years war, one of the most important religious war in Christian history. There are 3 significance to this war.

1. It finally acknowledged the Reformed as one of the main forces in Europe, alongside the Lutheran and the Catholic. The Peace of Augsburg is now renewed to become the Peace of Westphalia.

2. The painful effects of a religious war became apparent to the political/ religious refugees in America, leading to the rise of Denominationalism.

3. The extensive devastation lead to a change in balance of power for many of the traditional European heavyweights like Spain.

Comments on the clue:
This clue is what is commonly termed as a Rock-Scissors-Paper clue. The direction of the path is indicated by deducing which is the winning side. Future game designers can use different versions of competition to indicate participants how to navigate themselves. I used war for this clue, but it could easily be changed to for example, the food chain (grass-lamb-wolf-tiger), as long as there is a clear winning side.

Clue A2

Clue A2 (codeword: First)
Flavor Text: You find yourself at the Synod House. The Synod is the head and heart of the Presbyterian community, house in a little nondescript building on a quiet road. The roots of Presbyterianism lie in the European Reformation of the 16th century, with the example of John Calvin’s Geneva being particularly influential. Presbyterian theology typically emphasizes the sovereignty of God, a high regard for the authority of the Bible, and an emphasis on the necessity of grace through faith in Christ. Here’s your next clue.

Answer A1

Clue A1:

This riddle is easy, as soon as you try,
The topic is history, so no need to cry.
Some are named bishops, or even the pope,
So take a look, or you will not cope.
Are you happy gaming, enjoying the brotherhood?
Or are you sleeping, agreeing without mood?
Take care and be safe, no shelter is too much.
As the doctor will say, faith is just as such.

And the Solution is: Synod House (Highlight to reveal)

The first two lines are just an introduction that this is a riddle. I included only 3 riddles in this game, and the other one is at this leg of the race. Of the 3, this one is in the most traditional form, with the least margin for error, and the easiest to design. It is done by making use of Homonyms.

From the 3rd and 4th line, you can deduce the word "See" which means both Bishops and look. From the 5th and 6th line, you get "Nod" which can refer to the sleeping and the agreeing, and as a added bonus, it also refers to the brotherhood in the game Command & Conquer. From the final 2 lines, you get "House" can refer to the safe shelter, and also the TV doctor House.

In riddles, a reference can point towards many things. But the advantage of homonyms is that just like 2 lines, it can only intersect at one point. Having fun?

Clue A1

Starting today (I finally have a breather), I will be revealing one clue a day, and the answer the following day. I will also talk about the clue so that future game designers will learn from my experience.

There are all together 10 routes. I will describe Routes A-D in One Body, E-G in One Spirit and H-J in One Faith. Have fun solving!

Flavor text:

Let me introduce myself. I’m the history buff. I’ve studied everything from the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic periods to the civilizations and empires to the 20th century onwards. It has truly been an epic journey. And now you are embarking on one of your own. I assure you it will be no less exciting than the rise of civilizations and the theory of evolution. Wait, did I actually mention evolution? Sorry, I didn’t mean to do so. That is my friend’s domain, and he’s more suited to talk about DNA and evolution.

As for myself, I will bring you on a journey through history, so belt up and sit tight. You begin with this first clue.

Some are named bishops, or even the pope,

So take a look, or you will not cope.

Are you happy gaming, enjoying the brotherhood?

GL fellowship dinner

A night of incessant laughter, joyful smiles and great fellowship was what tonight was all about, when the GLs of onebody got together for a friendship dinner. Bonds were quickly forged as laughter reverberated in our cosy corner amidst silly jokes and random conversation. Perhaps it was reminiscing the detail of the Amazing Race that had brought us together or even the discussion of the menu for the night that allowed conversation to flow so freely with an almost familiarity between us during the few short hours that we spent together. I truly enjoyed the night, be it the random snippets that caught smiles on our faces or the awesome company I've been blessed with. It is indeed my honour and pleasure to have been able to get to know all of these wonderful people.

US @MOF Marina
Classic one of Justin.

David, Derek, Desiree, Justin, Wilson, thanks for making my night such a wonderful one and I look forward to organising more fellowship outings in the future, cause you guys are definitely worth the time and efforts.

Amos, Ben, Hannah, Serene, Wenyao, we missed you guys but don't worry you'll definitely get a chance to join us for another. Till then, GOD BLESS all of you for being such great brothers and sisters in Christ.

Love, Rach

Replying to the previous post, my favourite clue was the clue my group got at the Science Centre Kinetic Garden. We had to read the clue through a red filter that was one of the exhibits in the Garden, then decipher what it said by going online to learn Braille. I think that was very creative. All the clues were very well done, much brainwork involved, thank you organisers/planners.

But I do agree with Jun Kai (mudskipper). Hmmm.

GLs, please add your members in here!

Are there more feedback? Which is your favorite clue, and which is your least favorite one, and why?

Would you like all the clues of this game to be listed here?
