Information 5

For any other people who are interested in what we have tried to do for this event. This Games day is based on The Game. Click on the link, and you will see that it is basically a high level puzzle solving game. For a first time effort from all of you, kudos on a extremely fine effort.

There are 3 factors that elevated the event today even above the usual The Game format.
1. It is a coorperative game. Clues taken along different routes are interlinked so that all groups are dependent on one another to solve the entire 60 location puzzle. This is only possible because of the participation from many presbyterian churches.
2. Though later versions of The Game has become increasingly IT based, being one of the latest version means that we get to hide even more clues in the cyberspace. So blogs, web comics, photo albums, networking sites, MSN etc were utilised.
3. This event was done in love. Sacrifices from both organizers and participants were made because we believe in giving so that all may receive. And like all acts of love, I hope the good will can continue to multiply in the future of our Presbyterian unity.
hi? lol. jun kai frm OB-I here. *im the 1 wearing black and with a black cap on* =)

just wanna voice comments on the overall organisation of this event.
i think the event, to me, was quite bad. i think insufficient information was given to the participating church(es).

1. wasn't told to bring bible or anything, and there was no thorough and clear briefing given. clue was given when the whole grp still didnt noe What in the World is going on, and how the game is Exactly carried out.

2. at KCP hall, in-charge did not command attention, which is smth tat is quite annoying, since every1's mumbling and in-charge is not speaking clearly also. e.g all of a sudden some guy comes up and says "I declare the race open." like HUH?? what??? i dun see any structure, and it just feels very disorganised to me.

3. Ending destination is Jubilee Church, and we were told to solve the clues for *i dunno what end destination or smth* and ended up nobody did anything. no1 knew wad was going on. what clues? what code word thing? and all of a sudden, "Now we will present the prizes to the winning team." LIKE HUH??? and NOT ALL grps are back yet. even after the photo taking (yes, i was the 1 who shouted back "byebye") and every1 was leaving, there was still a grp which cabbed in to jubilee church. like how *!?!?!?!* is that???

anyways i noe this is a OneBody blog, but yea, i just had to voice all these out, cos im totally not happy with the event, sometimes event when things dun go well, ppl leave with a sense of satisfaction.. but this event was a failure to me, it made me feel UPSET, and worst of all, i feel like de event was completed half-heartedly, didnt gimme a sense of satisfaction AT ALL.

however, kudos to the in-charge for making such bloody difficult clues, much effort has been put in, but i think due to this mebe u've neglected the main part of the events? oh. and i rmb the in-charge, siow hwee was it?he said smth abt this event being "bonding for presbytarian churches" etc etc? i TOTALLY DID NOT see anything that helped us to bond. there was no activities to bond the team members.
this event's called Amazing Race rite, or so i heard. and i thought there'd be activities (probably team bonding) at every station to be completed b4 getting a clue to the next destination, but what happened just now was only "take clue, 1/3 of the team solve the clue as the others are not interested, solve clue, move to next station, cycle repeats".. seriously.. if u ask me, i'd have said the same thing even if OneBody won.. and personally, this leaves a pretty bad impression on me, and i wld really think Thrice on joining another event held by the Synod (i've heard bad stuffs abt the youth camp as well)..

just my $0.02.. cheers on those who gave their efforts.. THE CLUES WERE FREAKING HARD. zzz

Information 4

All the codewords are in sequence and form a solution to the final destination. I will award a bonus voucher to the first winning individual or group that solves it. Good luck!

Information 3

One faith won One spirit and One body by only 2 clues. So it was a close fight, good work everybody!

Can all group leaders invite everybody in your team into this blog and we can continue the fellowship long after this Games?

Lastly, take a look at the other blogs One spirit and One faith.

Thank You

Let us all thank our Father in Heaven, for HE is love. I'm truly grateful for having such a wonderful experience despite the heavy downpour, aching feet, a million dead braincells, for I have gained in more ways than one and felt the love HE has placed in my life. By the greatness of HIS love, we have been blessed with amazing fellowship. HE has brought us all together today in this challenge to come together in celebration of our sister and brotherhood in Christ, that we may lean on his word and empower each other in fellowship. To HIM be the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen

And before I close, like Wilson, I'd like to thank all the fabulous GLs of onebody.
Amos, Ben, Hannah, Serene, Wilson, David, Desiree, Derek, Wenyao. Though our bonding time was short, each one of you is special to me for GOD placed you there with specific purpose. I sincerely thank all of you for the efforts that you've all put in and for the amazing fellowship you have provided. I propose that we come together in a time of thanksgiving and find time to sit down to dinner without having any technical worries.

And of course my lovely "team I" consisting of Sam, Tim, Mingshen, Jun Kai, Raymond, Guangqin. Thanks for sticking thru it all with this blur sotong. It has been my pleasure and honor to have you as my group members. May our fellowship last beyond the games.

With love from your sister in Christ,
Rachel

Great job!

hope all of you had fun! do try to post what your group did during the race in the posts so we could all read and share the fun with you!

thanks to rachel for all the coordination, especially for arranging the breakfast fellowship for team leaders! thanks to all of you who tried in one way or another for making this a super duper fun and exciting race for all of us!

we ain't no body, cause we'll onebody!

hope to see you guys soon! God bless! :D

IMPORTANT

Guys, i'm sure many of us are happily eating macs now... all the team posts are created! try to use the posts created so that we don't have so many other posts!

here's my suggestions: once each team reached a location, login immediately to offer help or seek help. update the blog immediately and then check out each grp's post to see if they need any help.

HAVE FUN AND POST A PICTURE! see you guys soon! back to my macs... :D
